And so I bought the collectors edition of DOOM Eternal a while ago, where you lot get this really cool looking helmet which y'all can actually wear.
I ever wanted to become into cosplay, but I never had the time for it, but with corona I thought at present or never.

I bought myself a 3D printer to impress all the parts that I demand. I got the CR-10 V2 from Creality (it is a large printer with 300x300x400). I spent a few months just press trivial things and get into 3D press and 3D modeling software. So my printer bankrupt and it took me three weeks to repair it (I really can not recommend to buy my printer).

I bought PETG which (luckily) matches the color of the helmet merely perfect:

I thought I will exist likewise lazy to paint all the 3D parts (information technology is a lot of work with all the smoothing), just at the end I pigment some of the parts anyway.

I decided to make the 2016 praetor conform as I think the suit from doom eternal doesn't await every bit good. The helmet does not differ that much from the 2016 edition.

I started with the gloves, simply I did non like the 3D files, and so I improved them a lilliputian bit, see my remix on thingiverse: DOOM Slayer Glove improved and scaled by Whatever6

I honestly practise not like the print quality but at the moment I focus on the bigger things.

Here are some of the bigger parts from my collection which I printed (political party painted) and glued together.

I used some motorcar putty do get rid off the gap, but in retrospect, I could accept used it to fill the entire office so its all smooth, that would take saved time on sanding the whole matter.

Decided to print it with my silver metal PLA filament and paint information technology with spray paint the color is RAL 6031 that is the same colour lawmaking as the PETG that I used (even tho the colour looks a bit weird on this picture).

I bought this cheap military w from prc for effectually $28, which I use as base and to get it a bit more comfortable.

I was e'er a little scared of EVA foam, because it is no material I wanted to piece of work with (I had no experience with information technology), simply I apace released that I tin can not print all the parts and I demand something to glue everything on (the west just wasn't plenty).

Silverish inspired my in his thread that EVA foam tin wait cool and just as detailed as 3D prints. As I never worked with EVA foam I bought a template which is somehow okay, but non good. It has a lot difficult cuts and weird design decisions. I actually detest to work with EVA foam it is a mess (especially if you desire to smooth the parts with a Dremel), but I am slowly getting used to it.

It is slowly looking like something. I had about of the parts just randomly lying around for months it feels skillful to finally meet some progress, but I approximate it is nonetheless a long fashion to go.

Will update this thread when I ever I got the time.

BTW for all which are currently also making a praetor suit. I found this gratuitous 3D model which helped me with some parts.
